What
your bequest will mean to the Toowoomba Hospice:
The
ability of the Toowoomba Hospice to meet the challenges of providing
quality palliative and respite care for the community in the years
ahead depends very much on the generosity of people like you.
Your bequest will be a lasting gift to our community and a worthy
way of commemorating your life.
Please take some time to consider making a bequest or gift to
the Toowoomba Hospice, and let us know what you decide by contacting
us. All enquiries will be treated as strictly confidential.
We can't do it without you
Funding to employ highly trained staff
is needed to ensure our palliative and respite care remain accessible
to everyone.
Your financial support will supplement our funding, allowing us
to provide a comprehensive palliative care program.
Here are just a few examples of how your bequest or gift will
assist:
- Equipment
for patients
- Homely
items such as linen, CDs, and aromatherapy oils
- Training
of Hospice volunteers
- Bereavement
follow-up, including Services of Remembrance, and
- Continuing
education of staff and volunteers
Making a Bequest:
A bequest is a gift made through a Will, and a true statement
of your commitment and concern for others.
You may wish to make your bequest to the Toowoomba Hospice in
the following ways:
The Residue
When you have provided for your family and friends you may wish
to
leave the residuary estate (what is left) to the Toowoomba Hospice.
A Percentage
You may decide to share your estate between a number of people
and charitable organisations. Stating a percentage for each one
allows
for inflation or possible changes in your estate.
A Specific Bequest
You may wish to state a specific sum of money, and for
a specific
purpose.
A Bequest of Property or an Asset
You may also wish to leave property, works of art or other assets
from your estate.
If you are interested in leaving a bequest to the Toowoomba Hospice, please call Shane Charles of Condon Charles Lawyers who have generously offered to prepare a standard will at no cost to you whatsoever.
